Located in the middle of the Trastevere neighbourhood, this botanical garden originated when the Corsini family donated their garden to the Italian government in 1883. More than 3000 species of plants are to be found here and it includes a "Scent-and-Touch" garden that was recently incorporated for those who are visually impaired. The botanical garden makes a perfect place to escape the busy, crowded streets of Rome!
