Stroll down Golden Lane, dating from the 15th century and featuring 11 historic houses. The small houses are located within the complex of Prague Castle. Its name was derived from the story of alchymists living in the street, who tried to transform metals into gold. The pitoresque houses were restored and repainted in the mid 1950's, after being nationalized after the Second World War.
