Czech beer is famous all around the world. The Czechs are also the largest consumers of beer per capita in the world. In 1842 a brewery in Plzeň developed a golden Pilsner beer, instead of the 'normal' darker coloured beer, which was the first light coloured beer ever brewed. There are many bars in Prague where you can drink and taste local beers, if you like beer, you surely will not be disappointed in the Czech Republic.
