Les invalides is a complex containing museums and several monuments in the 7th arrondissement. They are all related to the military history of France. The complex was initiated by Louis XIV as a home and hospital for soldiers and was completed in 1676. Napoleon Bonaparte has his final resting place in Les Invalides, as his tomb is located under the dome of the building.
