The Red Square is the central square in Moscow, situated next to the Kremlin. The square was 'founded' after a great fire in 1493. Surrounding the Red Square are several historic buildings and sights. Besides the Kremlim you can find Lenin's mausoleum at the square. On the eastern side is the Main Department Store situated, one of the largest department stores in the world. Next to it the Kazan Cathedral. The State Historical Museum is located at the northern side.
