Situated in the heart of Madrid, the picturesque Plaza de la Villa is certainly worth a visit. The largest building at the square is the Casa de la Villa, the former Town Hall, which was finished in 1696. The oldest building is the Torre de los Lujanes, a tower contructed in the 15th century. At the center of the square is the statue of Alvaro de Bazan, a Spanish admiral.
