The Plaza Colón was established in 1893 and commemorates the famous explorer Christopher Columbus (Christóbal Colón in Spanish). It contains two monuments; a fountain and several structures to honor the voyage of Columbus. Next to the Plaza Colón, the Gardens of Discovery make a perfect place to relax and indulge some fresh air.
