The
Tower of London, located on the north bank of the river Thames, is one
of the oldest government buildings used by the British government. The
tower was used as a fortress, a royal palace and a prison. The Crown
Jewels of the United Kingdom are being kept at the Tower of London since
1303 and can be visited by the public. Among them are several invaluable
crowns, sceptres and swords.
