'The Tower Bridge, which was opened in 1894, is the famous bascule and suspension bridge over the river Thames and one of the iconic symbols of London. The bridge has two towers, which measure 65 meters in height and spans nearly 250 meters. Trivia: In 1968 a disgruntled Royal Air Force pilot took his Hawker Hunter fighter jet and flew under the top span of the Tower Bridge. He was dismissed shortly after the incident.
