The Zaveldistrict is situated in the historical center of Brussels, which is home to many restaurants, chocolatiers and (antique) stores. Two important churches in the Zaveldistrict are the Zavelchurch and the Kapellekerk. The famous painter Pieter Bruegel the Elder was buried in the latter, where a funeral monument in his honour is still in place.
