The Department Store of the West (Kaufhaus des Westens, abbreviated to KaDeWe) is a large department store, with more than 60,000 square metres of selling space and nearly half a million articles. In Europe it is in size only surpassed by Harrods in London. The building has seven floors and many of the world's top brands are sold at KaDeWe, such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci and Bulgari. For those who don't want to shop, the sixth and seventh floor are completely devoted to food!
