Potsdamer Platz is a public square in the centre of Berlin, named after
the city of Potsdam. In the beginning of the last century it became an
important European traffic intersection, but was left in ashes after
World War 2. After the end of the cold war it became the new heart of
the city and has seen many new buildings and constructions in the past
few years. During the contruction it was the largest building site in
Europe. Nowadays it is a bustling and vivid part of Berlin and certainly
worth a visit! |
